Biography
Hoochang LEE (b. 1979) is a Korean sculptor who received his Ph.D. in Sculpture from Hongik University, Seoul. His practice explores the relationship between form, light, and spirituality through sculpture and installation. Lee has held more than 40 solo exhibitions, including Protective Coloring (2025), Forms & Phenomena (2024), and Forms and Phenomena – Sacredness (2023). His works have been presented in over 550 group exhibitions and international art fairs. He has received numerous awards, including the Hajungwoong Art Award (2011) and the Gyeonggi Young Artist Award (2021). He currently serves as Artistic Director of Sculpture City Seoul and is an adjunct professor at Kookmin University.
